Uses: Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, as one of the super acids, is extremely stable to redox. Due to the unique properties of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, it is mainly used in the following fields:
1. In the plastics industry, it is used in catalyzing chemical synthesis reactions. As an oligomerization-polymerization catalyst, it can also be used for silicone rubber modification;
2. Fuel industry, as a catalyst for protonation reaction
3. Various fields of the pharmaceutical industry, such as nucleosides, antibiotics, steroids, proteins, glycosides, etc., are a novel and efficient catalyst for Friedel-Crafts alkylation and acylation reactions;
4. Synthesis of herbicides and growth regulators;
5. Synthesis of vitamins;

7. For special reactions in laboratory studies.
Physical and chemical properties: pale yellow to colorless transparent solution. It is the strongest organic acid known so far.
